Maybe it’s the Saturday summer breeze or just the 72° city vibe but I feel like a princess today and am going to treat myself like one. Part of my princess ritual for today was to succumb to the avocado toast brunch and strolling with my fellow new yorkers with an iced tea in hand. Resulting in the impulsive decision to get my nails done at East m Nail 45, 849 2nd Ave, New York.
A small mani-pedi and waxing salon that can accommodate probably 7-8 people, made me feel like pure heaven in only 10 min. Akila (apologies, I probably haven’t spelled it right) was my manicurist who also gave me a 10 min massage. For a special price of $25 + $2 for a manicure and a 10 min massage, I transformed my ghoulish nails into cinderella’s gown blue and drifted into a trance. Akila’s magical hands ran up and down the length of my back, putting pressure where needed and where I didn’t realize I needed. Within seconds I nodded off into wonderland, feeling the weight and tension easing and knots being released.
By far the fastest 10 min of my life, I could have kissed her hands if she would have let me.
We run through our busy schedule putting off our health and discomfort. Make time for yourself, treat yourself, maybe get a massage and see the difference.
