Rooftop season is upon us and we owe it to ourselves to get out of the house ever so often and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from one of the many rooftop bars. A newly opened rooftop with great views is Ophelia, located in the prime Sutton-Turtle Bay area with views of Long Island City and midtown Manhattan.
Although it has a small eats menu and a decent drinks options, it’s a bit overpriced for Just A Desi Girl’s standards but it is a cute little spot close to home for a family happy hour. Its intimate and candlelit seating and sunset views are the selling point for a great first date. Forewarning, the time we went there the AC was nonexistent, which was brutal given that it was an 87° evening. I’m hoping they fixed the AC situation.
While the Manhattan weather is always unpredictable, make the most of the remaining sunny days with a spectacular sunset across the midtown skyline.
