You can travel the world, eat the finest food, live a luxurious life but once a Desi Chori, will always be Just A Desi Chori!

Today, like a pilgrim I made the annual trip to my holy land i.e. Lajpat Nagar. Before anyone confuses me for a shopaholic and bargain enthusiast, I am neither. I just enjoy the chaos, the yelling, the excitement and most definitely the scattered food stalls. The options are overwhelming and the salesmen excessively persuasive. But I go there just to take in the compact craziness of this city.

Walk down the little streets in this maze of a place to find cute trinkets for your house or even junk jewelry to go with any outfit. With all the walking, window shopping and constantly saying ‘No’ to vendors, you might get exhausted. For me, the best nourishment in Lajpat Nagar is the fire-inducing Momos with Chili sauce or the Masala Corn which must be supplemented with a freshly made mixed fruit juice or for old times’ sake a Goli Soda. Take a rickshaw ride around the block for a feel of adventure and fear for life.
Any place in Delhi that you would like to revisit just for old time sake?
