And we are off to a good start. First stop being Michigan, in our 39-day road trip. Furry baby, Mishka and I have been eagerly waiting for this adventure to begin. Mishka particularly has been waiting to get out of the ever crowded and noisy Manhattan. Although we have temperaments of city girls, we aren’t the biggest fans of the concrete jungle, show us some grass to roll around in!
My dad gave me company from New York to Michigan, as a jump start to my crazy 39 day solo trip. In this nearly 11 hour drive I kept wondering, what am I going to do with all this time to myself? I do have mishka with me, and as amazing as she is and what a wonderful co-pilot she makes, she still doesn’t give any responses to my questions, besides the occasional yawn. I did come prepared with my music and some stand up podcasts. This journey not only has miles but also several thoughts ahead me.
The endless road forces you to think of all that you have buried for a later date. The long stretches of farmlands and clean air is literally such a breath of fresh air. I’m excited and looking forward to this trip, exploring the vast land that is America and exploring and pent up thoughts and unsolved questions. This also gives furry baby, Mishka and me to really explore our freedom and bond more, if that’s even possible.
